There are currently five Center Parcs locations in the UK to choose from. When we first started visiting Center Parcs we focused on visiting the resort closest to us. Both locations offer a wide range of accommodation options to suit all budgets and have the largest number of activities available. They offer better value for money being situated in the north of England compared to the south without compromise on the facilities and services that you come to expect from a Center Parcs resort.
There is an incredible number of activities to participate in when visiting Center Parcs. All of the Center Parcs locations have been chosen specifically so that they can offer these activities. However, there are a couple of slight differences that make some resorts better than others when it comes to activities and entertainment. Woburn Forest is the most recently updated Center Parcs resort and therefore has the newest and most modern facilities. Unlike Center Parcs where you stay on site, at Bluestone you are encouraged to get out and explore the region.
We enjoyed visiting Tenby and Manorbier and loved spending some time at the beach. So the million dollar question, what is the price difference? The main difference is that I felt that we spent a lot more money at Center Parcs on extras like food and drink at the branded outlets and activities. There is certainly more variety of things to do at Bluestone without having to pay a lot if anything. Both Center Parcs and Bluestone offer brilliant family breaks. They really have thought of everything to make a stay with children as easy and as fun as possible.
I must check out Bluestones — heard so many great things about it and this post shows it really is a fabulous family spot. The Bluestones Adventure centre looks amazing. And the jousting tournament must have topped things off nicely for you.

Longleat Forest Wiltshire: The most southern village and home to rare year-old Giant Redwood trees! Ideal for slightly older children due to the size of the property and distances between activities.
