You'll keep watching because you want to see how they all end up. Simply put, the Fifth Season of "Fringe" is clearly in a different class unfortunately a lower class than the first three or maybe even four seasons of the show.
It is still interesting to watch because, at least for sci-fi "big idea" show fans right now, the pickings are extremely slim. It just isn't the "glory days" of old. Zach K. Nov 15, Fringe saves the best season for last by challenging some very interesting concepts such as freedom, time and sacrifice. Mark S. Jun 12, Abrams, Alex Kurtzman, and Robert Orci succeeded in making the modern 'X-Files' of our generation a lot of imagination, philosophy, human understanding, and coherent storytelling.
Jon C. Mar 20, A bit of a tangent from previous seasons but still a grand and satisfying finale to a near flawless show. Michael S. Jan 29, So sad this finished!! Jan 04, Another one of my very favorite shows of all time, made by some of the same people as my favorite, Lost! The show was a little slow at first, but still very good. Some people think that's when it got too weird and out there, but again, just like Lost, that's what I liked so much about it! The weirder and more out there, the better for me!
It would have benefited from 1 more season, because the final season felt a little rushed and like they were trying to fit in all their remaining ideas, but I still think it's ending was pretty perfect!
I'm still waiting for a Fringe movie! They left a little bit of a loose ends that would make for a great film! Dan M. Aug 07, It started out strong and held out until season 4 and slowly started unraveling from there. Still a favorite despite it's flaws. Jules C. Jun 16, This last season of Fringe truly is the best. It might be a short season, but it's the best in the Fringe series. It totally is excellent in every way, and the series overall couldn't end in a better way.
Fringe is a TV-show that just kept me interested and made me love it because all the mysteries and questions it made me ask. This is one of my favorite sci-fi shows, and yes it might have some slower and less interesting episodes, but it's so awesome with all the unexpected questions and mysteries.
The final season of Fringe is awesome as it is spectacular. The average score for each episode is: 8. Nola n brams R. See all Audience reviews. Best Horror Movies Top of all time. Narcos: Mexico: Season 3. You: Season 3. Squid Game: Season 1. Only Murders in the Building: Season 1. People abduct pregnant Olivia, attempting to harm and abort her child, although she escapes. We see her deliver the baby with Lincoln and Henry not graphic. The last season is the most graphic Walter is tortured, and we see him sweat and bleed out of his nose and eyes, Etta is killed and we see a good amount of blood.
Torture sequences include mind reading, electrocution, etc. Nina kills herself with a bullet to her head. August dies-little to no blood. A bullet is removed from the back of Olivia's head, we see blood. Olivia and her former job partner John meet in hotels to have sex. We see them kiss and roll around, but never actually SEE it. Talk of cheating. Walter makes many, many, many innuendos. A few scenes take place in strip clubs with women dancing for money.
One sex scene, with music as the primary sound, showing brief undressing, rolling around, and making out. Talk about STDs, and sex in general whether they used protection, if it's happened yet, etc. A man offers to give his girlfriend it may be his wife, idk a back rub, with them undressing, kissing, and massaging. Characters are seen drinking and smoking. Walter says the only thing he loves more than taking drugs is administering them.
Lots of LSD use. Good show, but parental viewing is needed! Teen, 15 years old Written by winchestersalvatore4 February 15, Great show to get you thinking about what comes next Fringe is one of my all-time favorite shows. It combines action, science, some sci-fi, and a little bit of romance. The plot is slightly complex but interesting nonetheless. There is a bit of intense action, which you could expect from the FBI, but also some sad, heart-wrenching moments too.
I would recommend this to people 13 years and older just because of the action and slight drug use. Teen, 16 years old Written by cbar04 August 26, Olivia is a wonderful character and is a strong, independent woman. Teen, 15 years old Written by Coolcolourofpink November 25, Quite Graphic This program would be ok for older teens, however, it is extremely gory.
In the first episode alone, there is a HUGE amount of gore. In the first episode it is not shown briefly either, but with a long scene that wouldnt be out of place in a horror movie. Kid, 12 years old July 28, Awesome show!
Note: I am prepared to be a hypocrite, saying the show is not for me when I'm twelve and it still being one of my favorites. Fringe opens almost every week with a gruesome horror-ish twist.
The twist can continue into the rest of the episode. Also, really nobody is a great role model for your kids. Peter is Walter normally solves the episodes with "fringe science", which is NOT to be confused with hard or even realistic science.
It can also be gruesome. It will not make much sense to younger viewers. Walter is the main sex reference maker, although being insane I guess you can let that slide. There's no nudity, although there are unclear sex scenes. So yes, people do get laid. I would choose to shy away from this if you have kids, and take a moment to honestly evaluate how much your teenager can handle.
If they can handly gore and adult concepts, then Fringe is one of the best shows out there in my opinion. If they can't, then you might want to look somewhere else. Kid, 12 years old June 9, Based on Episode 1 It looks really good based on the plot, so we got it on DVD collection and watched the start of episode 1. It started out as a sci-fi gorefest on a plane. People's skin were bloody and melting off like cheese on a pizza. A guy's jaw collapsed and he was moaning.
A guy injects himself with something with a syringe. People on the. Though it looks good. I wouldn't change a thing about Fringe and the way it ended. They were given a year's notice, so it ended just how the creators intended. Many shows don't get that opportunity. If the books do well, maybe they'll be some more later. We could even imagine a season 6 in comics, like what they did with Buffy and Charmed! Maybe guy maybe in the future they will realize the greatness of Fringe I will miss Walter and Astrid as well.
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a very good ending. As I said before, although the television show is over, there will be books coming out in a couple months that give more details on life before the show started and "September's Notebook" is coming out in March. While the show certainly feels "complete," they will definitely add bits of trivia that big fans of Fringe will appreciate.
If you miss Fringe and are having "withdrawals," you'll be able to get your Fringe-fix in the next few months. Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account? FringeWiki Explore.
